Do you ever see a car for sale that you're interested in and has been for sale for months?

And think “that must be the car I should buy. I want it, no one else wants it, it’s meant to be”? I’m currently at that point. With two vehicles. 9-2x Aero or Lancer Sportback? Trick question, I can afford neither.

There is a Durango R/T that is for sale, however the fact that in two years it hasn’t moved an inch leads me to believe it can’t.

But your Saab and the 9-2X probably don’t have a lot of interchangeable parts. But look at it! There has to be something wrong with it, right?

That’s how I got my Lexus. Dealer had it for 120+ days, wanted it off his lot ASAP. Guy only made $100 off it.

For the Lancer the price dropped by $1k. But it’s been for sale since August.

turbos are pretty interchangeable :)

its a WRX with a fancy body. just buy it already. the reason it seems so cheap is because saabs dont have the bro-baru tax that all of the subis have.

I theoretically have enough money for it. But I can’t justify it (yet). Not when I still have student loans and possibly three flights to pay for next year.

buy it before I do. I really liked those things.

Might be a good time to make an offer. Don’t insult the guy, just figure out what’s fair and what you can afford. If the two don’t overlap, then don’t waste the guy’s time. That’s my philosophy, anyhow...

Back in the early 90's, in front of the old Baldwin-Motion shop, sat a red ‘67 Firebird for $2500. Part of me regrets not buying it (I was a broke 20 year old), and part of my thanks myself for not buying it, knowing it likely would’ve been a money pit.

You do it. Although you might not have enough room for that.

I might have to come up with some interesting packaging solutions.

Not that exact scenario, but I think that some of the cars that I want and am supposed to have will “fall into my lap” at some point. That is how I found both M3's, I just stopped looking so hard.

That’s why I stopped looking for Bullitt Mustangs. One day!

I’ve had that with a few cars.

I usually set an arbitrary number in my head and say, “if it ever hits this price, I’ll buy it”

Usually it gets within $500 of said price and sells. That’s how I know it wasn’t meant to be
